I could start this post by telling you EVERYTHING about myself and my struggles with sexuality and how I am not out yet but I won’t. Instead, I’ll tell you this, it’s okay to come out now.
I mean it. It’s not a trap. Open that closet door and step out. If the light blinds you, don’t worry, you’ll get used to it. If you ask me, being queer is hard, being a new queer is harder, being a new queer in Kenya is hardest. I’ll need some guidance. And you can’t guide me if you are in the closet, can you?
I’ll make you angry, you’ll disagree with almost everything I say, I’ll make you regret ever coming out of the closet but once in a while (I hope), I’ll say something so utterly profound, it’ll make it all worthwhile.
So come out, okay? It’s safe. Well, until they find us.
